As the new host of The # 1 Countdown: Hip Hop on the Fuse network, Dee is bringing the hottest videos and interviews from elite and groundbreaking Hip Hop artists every week to viewers across the nation. Dee Vazquez is also the co-host of Kay Slay’s Drama Hour on New York’s Hot 97, and the Street Sweepers Radio show on Sirius Radio. And there is so much more to her!

Dee began her television career as a host on the cable access television show Video City, where she was able to gain on-camera experience and became skilled in TV production. After two years of experience, Dee landed the role as the New York correspondent for the bilingual TV show The Roof on MUN2 Network. Being of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent, she was able to connect with her Latin roots on the nationally syndicated TV show.

Apart from television, Dee ventured out as a radio personality with some of the greatest legends in music history. Playing right-hand woman to reggae legend Earl Chin on Rockers Radio and Hip Hop legend DJ Marley Marl on Future Flavaz Radio, Dee acquired the knowledge and confidence to star on her own radio show on Party 105.3 in Long Island. Currently you can hear Dee Vazquez reign supreme alongside “The Drama King” DJ Kay Slay on HOT 97 and Sirius Satellite Radio.

Dee’s writing credits include “The Hip-Hop Digest” in The Source magazine, an advice column “Ask Dee Vazquez” in Straight Stuntin’ Magazine, and a contribution to “Where My Ladies At?” – a recurring column catered to women in the entertainment industry in The Connex List.

Aside from her involvement in multi-media platforms, many people recognize Dee for her charismatic personality and look to share her energy with their audiences at national and international live events.

In just the past couple of years, Dee hosted the fifth season of BK Fashion Weekend, the 11th Annual JUSTO Mixtape Awards, the University of Connecticut Fashion Show, the 5th Annual Underground Music Awards, I Am The Underground concert and The Latin Connect at S.O.B.s. She co-hosted the 2007 Urban DVD Awards, The Roof On The Road in Texas, The Wheelie Boyz Bike Show in Virginia.

Dee covered behind-the-scenes at the Evidence Dance Company Winter Gala, the Cuervoton concert at the Nokia Theatre, The Source Awards in Miami and the Megaton concert in Madison Square Garden. She also joined Daddy Yankee on stage for his homecoming concert in Puerto Rico, and moderated The 2006 A&R Power Summit and the 2007-08 Women on the Move Tour.

Dee has also been a featured guest on Fox 5’s Mike & Juliette’s Morning Show, BET’s The Center, judged 106 & Park’s Freestyle Friday, and worked with former Vice-President Al Gore‘s politically aware cable network Current TV.

Dee Vazquez’ goal is to utilize all media outlets to represent and inspire her generation. Drawing inspiration from TV magnates like Oprah Winfrey and Christina Saralegui, Dee started a self-titled incorporation intended to brand her name throughout the United States and beyond.
