Andrea Chung has exhibited her work across the country including three solo exhibitions in Brooklyn, NY at the Butta’ Cup Lounge and Caviar Studios, Artistic-Trends Salon in San Diego, California, and a group exhibit at Second City’s 2003 Women’s Festival of the Arts in Long Beach, California. She was invited to hang her paintings in the 1999 Brooklyn Open Studio Tour. In the fall of 2000, she took part in the Okayplayer Tour, an eclectic montage of soul singers and organic rappers. While touring with this Hip-Hop concert, Ms. Chung sketched live drawings from the stage performances. Most recently, she designed the CD packaging entitled, At Last, for the jazz band the Marcus Strickland Quartet, singer Wale Oyejide’s single Kaya, and pianist Robert Glasper’s CD entitled, Moods.

In addition, her work is included in the private collections of Ann Marie Wilkins of Wilkins Management, Esq., Richard White, Marvin Scott, Thelma Assee, Robert Glasper, Tara Duvivier, Tia Troutman, Bilal Oliver, Tariq Trotter, Falona Brown, Erykah Badu, and Tiombe Lockhart.

In 1999, Ms. Chung was sponsored to study at the Lorenzo Di Medici Institute of Art in Florence, Italy. She spent 3 months studying painting and the Italian language as part of the Fairfield University Summer Abroad program.

Ms. Chung was featured in Square Biz’s March 2003 issue of The Jawn, the art section of www.Binformed.com, the Connext List, Verbalisms.com as well the art gallery section of RIME magazine, issue six.

Andrea Chung was born in Newark, NJ, in 1978. She graduated with a BFA from Parsons School of Design in New York, NY.
