A painter creates on canvas, while musicians paint their pictures on the canvas of silence. If musicians are painters of songs, Jaiden may very well be the Vincent Van Gogh of his time. Not only is he an amazing vocalist with a four octave range, he’s an impressive songwriter, pianist, producer and captivating live performer.

On August 16, 2011, Jaiden will unveil his new Urban Pop mixtape project Shades of Grey: The Cure Suite II, which features guest appearances from Hip Hop lyricist Emilio Rojas and R&B songstress Kimberly Nicole.  Original production on the project includes contributions from Bryce Wilson (Groove Theory, Beyoncé, Babyface), Lion’s Share (Erykah Badu, Pharoahe Monch), The Baron Boys (Drake, Bow Wow), JRB, and U.K. alternative beat crafter The Caligraphist.

Jaiden’s latest singles “B4 We Even Kiss” and “Ain’t Enough” are currently available on iTunes, and he debuted the video for “Ain’t Enough” in July 2011. The video was the “New Joint of the Day” on BET’s 106 & Park, accented by a live performance from Jaiden on their Music Matters” segment on July 19, 2011.

The past few years have been hectic for the young singer as he prepares for his full-length album, slated for a Winter 2011 release. This year alone, Jaiden has been touring with international superstars Shaggy and Chris Brown, and appears on three songs on Shaggy’s new album Summer in Kingston.

Dubbed “The Cure” after performing for Quincy Jones at the mogul’s Bel-Air estate, Jaiden has established himself in the industry through working with heavyweights. Growing up in New York, Jaiden was a part of a musical family, and began playing piano and singing at an early age. He spent much of his childhood acting in theater, film and television. With the release of his 2009 mixtape The Cure Suite 1, Jaiden broadened his fan base into music, and became an internet favorite with fans around the world.

A dynamic performer, Jaiden has toured with and/or performed on albums with Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Fort Minor (Linkin Park), Diddy, Estelle, Shaggy and more. Jaiden also packs out his own shows, receiving accolades in cities across the U.S. including Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York and Miami.

Additionally, Jaiden’s adept songwriting has landed him some impressive placements in film and television projects, such as Gotti’s Way, Save The Last Dance 2, Noah’s Arc, Like Mike 2, and ABC Family’s hit show Lincoln Heights. He also has penned lyrics for the likes of Jeannie Ortega, Case, Anthony Hamilton, and Japanese pop group FOH.

It is now Jaiden’s time to emerge from the background, and establish his brand of music and artistry. Evolving through his own ‘Future Throwback’ sound, Jaiden incorporates the elements of music he grew up loving in his songwriting, hoping to push that classic quality to the next generation.

Fortunately, Jaiden has enjoyed the unique opportunity to study everything from branding to showmanship with some of the world’s greatest entertainers in an intimate setting. Through his travels, Jaiden has discovered the importance of connecting with his fans on every level.

“I’m a music fan first,” Jaiden explains. “I feel a lack of substance, vocal skill, and songs that you can live your life outside of the club to in the music that is available to us today. Also, I don’t feel like I know some of these artists, even after several albums. I write every song I sing, and I’m involved in much of the production. I play keys on songs, and when I record vocals, making sure people feel it is the most important part.”

Jaiden’s unique blend of legitimate musicianship and street sensibilities position him a front-runner in the new music market. Shades of Grey: The Cure Suite II offers music lovers an expanded view of soul, R&B and pop through Jaiden’s own refreshing perspective on the world.

“My project was written and recorded all over the world,” he says. “Some of the producers I’ve never met, and some are from other countries. It’s definitely eclectic, but cohesive, because it’s all written and performed by me. It’s free expression. I didn’t have any rules or boundaries or people to answer to. Artists are all seeking music that we feel – that means something to us.”

With so many new opportunities coming his way, Jaiden feels assured that he’ll get closer to his fans with each new song.

“Anything anybody wants to know about me, they’ll know through my music. Most importantly, I think, I feel… and I’m living and sharing my personal journey through song.”
