Chill Like That

 In Tygereye News

If you’re like me, you may be having a hard time believing we are already a month into 2007. Time truly flies when you’re having fun… or working like crazy! Good for Tygereye, we’ve got a lot of both in the mix, and our usual amazing client updates.

At the top of our agenda this month, a huge congratulations goes out to Serius Jones for his recent signing to Disturbing Tha Peace! It’s been a long road paved with hard work and dilligence, and Serius is finally in a position to bring his music to the world in the right way. Thank you to all of our media friends for putting the news out. We’ll have some press opportunities for Serius coming up, so email me if you would like some time with him.

A couple of quick shouts! First to DJ Demp for putting on so many great events during his 10th Annual Demp Week celebration in Tallahassee earlier this month! Then to TJ of TJ’s DJ’s, who will be hosting his quarterly Tastemaker’s Only Conference on Wednesday January 31 in Tallahassee as well. Love to our new friends Young Cash and his sister Amber – people like you make traveling a lot more fun!

Most of you have heard B.O.B.’s “Cloud 9”, and now you can hear some more new music from him and read his exclusive Breeding Ground feature at AllHipHop.com. We’re proud to announce that B.O.B. is also this week’s Featured Artist on Myspace.com! Check his page for some new songs as well – I know you’ll be as impressed as I’ve been!

For those of you who were out at Demp Week, you most likely got the chance to meet Dipset’s Freekey Zekey. He’s been hard at work in the studio ever since, and we’ll have more info on the album soon. You may have caught Zeke judging Freestyle Friday on BET’s 106 & Park on the 19th, and it’s highly likely that you’ve seen the interview on the latest Smack DVD. You can check Freekey Zekey’s Myspace page for that video and new photos. If you’re heading to MAGIC (Feb 13-16) in Vegas, you can meet Zeke at the Miskeen Originals booth along with UGK’s Bun B and champion boxer Bernard Hopkins.

Thanks to everyone who has given us such great feedback on GritsRedemption album! Reviews have been rolling in, and it’s so refreshing to see people giving these vets their just due. Coffee and Bonafide have started their tour, so check the page for dates. They’ve also got a fantastic new E-Card for the album, which you can check by clicking here.

Jamie Jones will be heading to TJ’s DJ’s on January 31, just one of the many stops she’s making between label meetings as of late. The word is out on her, and I am very excited to be involved with Jamie at this stage of her career. Take a listen to her songs “Brand New” and “Hustler’s Crush” (produced by Kwame) on her page!

Melloe Won has been on the road quite a bit lately working on various campaigns, including his work with Zenetti Wheels. You can find Melloe at MAGIC and All-Star Weekend, and don’t be suprised if you catch him hosting a couple of parties of his own!

The Rock Mobb is making some noise with their singles “Cash For The Hot Cars” featuring Jim Jones and “Keep It Coming” featuring Al Gator. You may have received the songs in The Core DJ’s recent blast, but if you haven’t, you can download both clean and dirty versions on Rock Mobb’s page.

Congratulations to our longtime friend Perion, who recently partnered with Lebron James for his Sprite 23-23 campaign. Perion has new placements with several artists, and you’ll be hearing a lot more from him in coming months.

For those of you attending the North Carolina Central University Hip Hop Summit – see you there! For those of you attending MAGIC and All-Star Weekend, I hope to see you if we can get through all the chaos!

Until next time, best wishes from your most darling,

Dove
