Hype Holla Back-to-School Cookout Highlights!

On September 5, 2009, Hype Holla and OG Entertainment held a back-to-school cookout for the community of Providence, Rhode Island at the South Side Recreation Center. Def Jam artist Jyshoun performed, and Hype Holla’s entire team collaborated on serving great food donated by the school department to over 200 people!

The children were treated to face painting and giveways of back to school items like crayons, coloring books and markers. Local organizations came together in support of the event, assisting Hype Holla with activities throughout the day.

Excited teens participated in an organized talent and fashion show, with special performances from ’09 Ciara dance contest winner Anisha Gibbs and her dance team, along with R&B singer Ivan Brooks. Of course Hype Holla also took the stage and performed his single “Get It Started” for the lively crowd!

All in all, the event was a huge success thanks to the good people at the South Side Recreation Center, the Providence School Department, Providence Police Department and Mr. Cedric!
